The Willow Gallery presents:
Painting: Making Faces with David Bannister
Starting Saturday 17th October 2015
10am to 4pm
Taking the human face as your subject, you will explore how to create form and structure through tone and the rendering of light and dark. We will explore drawing techniques and the use of different drawing mediums to achieve this.
Following on from this, we will continue exploring the human face using colour and paint employing colour as tone. The aim is to create a well modelled and expressive representation of the human face.
Please bring photographs of a face you wish to use as your subject. This could be a self-portrait, a family member or just a face that you like. You will work from these photographs so I recommend that the image has good resolution and is at least A5, preferably A4 in size.
Please bring along sketchbooks and any drawing and painting materials that you have.
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.
Please bring lunch or alternatively use the café at the gallery.
